He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under Prof. Karin Kneffel, with additional studies at the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts. His work has been presented internationally in solo exhibitions in New York and Paris, and in group exhibitions across Europe. In 2023 he completed residencies at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Peninsula School of Art in the United States. Gebka has received numerous grants, including the "Neustart Kultur" project grant and a travel grant to the USA from the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts, and was nominated for the 8th Horst-Janssen Graphic Art Prize in 2024. His works are held in private and public collections including the Collection of Contemporary Art of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bonn.
