b. 1986 Lawrenceville, GA
Lives and works in Los Angeles
He makes paintings inspired by his nomadic view of home. Drawing from his time spent moving across the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, Yaun’s paintings capture the transient view of interior vs exterior life. Across his works, landscapes unfold beyond windowpanes while interior spaces subtly reflect back to the viewer, rendering visible the thresholds that anchor an understanding of home as an ever-shifting psychological condition.
After graduating with his MFA from Laguna College of Art & Design in 2024, Yaun brought his studio practice to Los Angeles. His first solo show with Megan Mulrooney Gallery in June 2026 continues on his theme of nature intertwined with architecture and interiors. His previous solo shows include the Billis Willis Gallery in Los Angeles and Galerie Ego in Marfa. He's participated in numerous other exhibitions since graduating like with the Laguna Art Museum, Carl Larsson, and Thom Oosterhof.
